Today a self harmer will put down their weapon for the last time.
Today an anorexic will start eating again.
Today a bulimic will purge for the last time.
Today people will realize that their past has no control over them.
Today people will begin recovery.
Why don’t you become one of those people?
I don’t care if we ever talk again. But I’ll always care about you. As much as I’d hate to admit it. If you called 5 years from now at 3 in the morning asking for someone to talk to, I’d rush by your side. I don’t want to care, but I do.
So when people leave, I’ve learned the secret: let them. Because, most of the time, they have to.
Let them walk away and go places. Let them have adventures in the wild without you. Let them travel the world and explore life beyond a horizon that you exist in. And know, deep down, that heroes aren’t qualified by their capacity to stay but by their decision to return.
Don’t watch this if you’re soaked in gasoline because it will warm your heart and you will burn to death and die.
Don’t waste your first chance with someone just because you think that there will always be a second chance. Sometimes, when you let a person go, that’s all there will ever be again. Very few are blessed to have a second chance. You may have just one chance to love someone before they move on to someone else who will love them when they need to be loved the most. Remember, love gives you the right to be free. Don’t give yourself the opportunity to feel regret when someone you love decides he/she wants to be free from you. Whenever you love, remember to always love fully.
You are a memory I will never forget. I’m learning more and more how possible it is to get back on my feet and be happy with myself, my decisions, and my life and the people I’ve come to love and know throughout it. It’s tough but you can lose the people who meant the world to you and still be fine at the end of the day. God will bring someone else in your life who will mean the world to you and will see the world in you.
