Hold my hand when fear threatens to overwhelm and disable me. When I feel inadequate, insignificant, or discouraged, give me strength to keep going, the courage to stand up for what I believe in, and a desire to give you nothing less than my very best. Give me faith that conquers fear.
Flash back to a few weeks ago. I had an amazing opportunity to be a part of the CSUF lock-in where youth ministries from different parishes all over Orange County come together for mass and then a night of fun! The catch? No sleeping!
I also got to perform with a well-known and wonderful worship leader, Jeremy Bermander. Check him out! It was a lot of fun. Met a lot of young students! And I’m so happy to see a lot of people from Crossroads got to come out too! Definitely will be at next year’s lock-in!
Got to bowl, got to play pool, played dance central, danced, did karaoke, had a session with Joseph on piano! It was so fun. 8pm-6am, well worth it! So thankful for being a part of a great community!
Lead me to become the leader that trusts in You always.
Lead me to make the right decisions now, and to put my family (even my future family) first.
Lead me to be the provider that my family will need, but to never put work over them.
Lead me to lead with a strong hand. And to stand up for my family when they can’t.
Lead me to the work You have for me.
Lead me to love others like You.
Lead me to be a woman after Your heart.
Lead me to lead.
Lord, lead me.
Sincerely,
Someone who needs You Lord
Like a burning fire, be my one desire!
These kids are so full of energy and enthusiasm during praise and worship! I have never seen such participation before. These group of kids are definitely something else! I’ve said it before, but these kids literally define faith on fire. Gahd they inspire me.. after every performance I feel even more blessed and I’m reminded of God’s grace.
The Volunteer Appreciation Party from this past weekend made me realize how happy I am to be where I am today. We’ve come so far as a team and I’ve definitely met some wonderful people along the way. And knowing how much of a difference I make in this team just means so much to me. I even had a past retreatant who came to the party who mentioned my name during her testimony. It’s truly amazing what an impact you can have in someone else’s life! And it’s such a beautiful thing to know you’ve made that difference in their life, that you’ve sparked that flame in their life, and that you’ve opened their eyes to a world they didn’t know existed. These kids have blessed my life and I am so happy to be filled with such faith, hope and love. After the confirmation mass, I was so pleased with how many students came up to me, hugging me, thanking me, talking to me. These students have become friends. And even more than that, they’ve become family!
Lord, I pray that these kids continue yearning for You. And that they continue to burn with passion over You. And more importantly, that they continue following You. When they encounter darkness, remind them of light and bring their fire back to life. And last, I pray that You use these kids as a loving reminder for me as to why I’m here and why I do what I do for this church. And that You continue to stay at the core of everything in my heart ♥
“God has bestowed upon his people the gift of song. God dwells within each human person, in the place where music takes its source. God, the giver of song, is present whenever his people sing his praises. A cry from deep within our being, music is a way for God to lead us to the realm of higher things. As St. Augustine says, ‘Singing is for the one who loves.’ Music is therefore a sign of God’s love for us and of our love for him.”
My patient this morning told me “I know that some people think that when it rains, it pours. But they forget that after the rain, there’s always sunshine.” And I was just reminded of how lucky I am to have such amazing people in my life. The most caring boyfriend, such a loving family, and incredibly supportive friends. These people definitely shine a light in my life.
But as a reminder: “Though [I] stumble, [I] will never fall, for the Lord holds [me] by the hand.” Psalm 37:24
I need You Jesus to come my rescue. Where else can I go? There’s no other Name by which I am saved. Capture me with grace. I will follow You.
